Summer & Fall Paddling

I did a lot of paddling this summer, on the SUP, surfski, and OC1. I spent some time working on my surfski skills, but I’d still choose the OC1 for longer open-water voyages. In the past month, Joy was kind enough to shuttle me on two solo point-to-point paddles: the Davenport Downwind route in September and Santa Cruz Harbor to Moss Landing yesterday.

When the gray days of winter come, maybe these sunny pictures will motivate me to keep getting out there.

Point Reyes

We spent five days in the Point Reyes area, staying in Point Reyes Station (at Dino's airbnb), doing a few paddling sessions on Tomales Bay and some nice walks. There were plenty of migrating birds to enjoy (and puzzle over).
